Since I was bringing these with me on the plane, I wanted items that could be easily packed and boxes that could be easily assembled when I got there, so many of my gifts were planned around being luxe style hotel-like amenities that our rental house wouldn’t have, along with being light and easy to pack! This combination of items worked perfectly, with each bath bomb set being packed in its pair of socks, with each of the pajama sets prefolded and ready to pack into the gift boxes when I got to my final destination.

The result was an adorable assortment of gift boxes in different pastel shades to welcome my girlfriends for our weekend warm weather excursions while also becoming a perfect box for your own girls trips, bridesmaid proposals, or bachelorette party gift boxes! You can choose the pretty pinks, purples, and mint colors like I did, or customize the bath bomb colors along with your own socks and sleep masks. Each of the projects I made for these boxes have a tutorial all their own that are easy for you to creatively customize to your preference for the perfect sleepover gift box for your favorite ladies!

The last couple weeks we've been showcasing all our projects that we made for our girls weekend in the balmy weather of Florida last month, and now we’re putting it all together into the gift boxes I gave each of my girlfriends during our trip, these Sleepover Spa Sorority Gift Boxes!

I finally settled on four items for my gift boxes: Mini Bath Bombs for showers and spa like soaks, Personalized Fuzzy Socks with our sorority name and saying for sliding around the floors of the rental, a set of shortie pajamas with the shirt color matching the socks, all complete with a Personalized Sleep Mask, which worked perfectly for both labelling whose box was whose while providing an easy napping accessory for the unknown lighting in any rental or hotel room! I assembled one box for these lovely pictures and to show how I folded everything, but then brought them all flat and unpacked with me to Florida to assemble the night before

SUPPLIES

GIFT BOX & STUFFING SUPPLIES

White Cardboard Gift Box: I love using these gift boxes not only for this project, but for Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes and even boxes for sending home holiday cookies for my in town friends! They are affordable and easy to assemble, though I always tape down the bottom edges for extra security.

White Crinkle Paper: for stuffing the bottom half of your gift box and any open spaces, white crinkle paper or other packaging is a must! This will give your box a fuller look, beautiful professional finish, and provide padding for your gift items. A little goes a long way for this filler and I still have plenty for future gift box projects, I bought a 1 lb package of it and didn't make it through more than a third of it for my four boxes.

GIFT BOX CONTENTS

Shortie Pajama Set: My friend found this cute donut themed set on Amazon, but there are so many shortie pajama sets to choose from that I suggest you check out more than just these ones for your own gift boxes! Another great option for Shortie Pajamas is Etsy, where you can always find affordable options being sold as bridesmaid pajamas!

Personalized Eye Masks: These eye masks were one of the first projects I made for the boxes and were a super simple and affordable addition! I always like having an eye mask for new sleeping situations, and these make for easy box distinguishing as well as a great napping accessory.

Mini Bath Bombs: these boxes gave me the perfect chance to remake these bath bombs from years past, test their recipe, and create a nice spa style favor to include in these hotel style gift boxes! I made mine with essential oils for fragrance in the colors of my shortie pajama shirt colors to match the fuzzy socks.

Personalized Fuzzy Socks: My favorite and the fuzziest of the gift box additions were these fuzzy socks, which I personalized with our sorority name and our saying acronym. Whether you are making your sorority socks or personalizing them with names or cheeky sayings, they are a great sleepover or girls trip accessory to give in this gift box or on their own!

DIRECTIONS

1. Start by Assembling your gift box, taping down the bottom seams after you fold them to add extra sturdiness. Lightly pack halfway full with white crinkle paper or your packing of choice

2. To fold the shirt: Start with the shirt completely unfolded, front side up. Fold in half as shown, with the collar of the shirt parallel with the bottom of the shirt. Then fold it into thirds from the right and left, making the width of the rectangle about two thirds of your box width, about 5 inches. Fold the shirt packet in half from the bottom as shown in the upper right photos, then in half right to left to form a small seamless rectangular packet.

3. To fold the shorts: Start with your shorts unfolded, front side facing up. Fold the shorts in half along the center, then in half again to form an almost rectangular packet, with the waistband side of the shorts the same width as the height of your folded pajama shirt.

4. Fold in the bottom corner of the fabric so that the shorts form a long rectangle, then fold them into thirds starting at the waist band, rolling them over to form a small rectangular packet. Now your gift box is ready to assemble!

STEP 2: ASSEMBLING GIFT BOXES

1. Start by placing your folded shirt in the upper left portion of your crinkle paper filled gift box, with the folded edges along the inside walls of the box. Place the shorts directly to the right of the shirt, folded seam to the left, then gently tuck them along the upper right inside of the box so your are left with two smooth fabric rectangles, showing the color of your shirt and the pattern of your shorts.

2. Next, add a small ball of crinkle paper to the lower left hand corner of the box, so that the socks with lay level when they are folded. Pick which sock bottom you want to display, then fold the ankles of the socks over, so that the sock displays the foot lettering and is the same width as the gift box. Place in the lower half of the box, press gently down so that, with the extra crinkle paper, the socks lay smooth and level.

3. Top the pajama set with the sleep mask, then all that’s left is to add the bath bombs. Place the mini bath bomb trios, packaged in their clear cellophane, in the middle of the box between the pajamas and socks, then stuff the sides with additional crinkle paper to secure them and complete your gift box!

My favorite thing about these boxes is how easy it is to customize the gifts inside for the theme, trip, or occasion of your choosing. These boxes could be easily altered as mother’s day gifts, bridesmaid proposals, or sleepover boxes for your next girls night. Whether you choose to keep them like mine for your own college reunion girls gathering or design them to a vibe all your own, these creative gift boxes are sure to show your friends and family how much you care in a cozy spa style!
