WAX SEAL & STATIONERY DIY PROJECTS
SELF ADHESIVE WAX SEALS
I love flowers in all forms and especially in making pretty petite details to adorn my crafting projects. So as I started my journey in wax seal making, I had to try to add a little floral flair to some stationary details too! So I gathered some of the smallest flowers in my collection and these Pressed Flower Self Adhesive Seals were born!
For that extra bit of glitz and glam, nothing adds sparkle like a glittery design detail! So as I learned about the basics of wax seal making as I created my Simple Self Adhesive Wax Seals and my Marbled Self Adhesive Wax Seals, I started experimenting with other details to add to my seals to give them some extra pizazz, starting with some metallic flake rose gold glitter. I gathered a bunch of my favorite bold and blank wax stamps, started sprinkling glitter everywhere, and from my fun a variety of metallic flake covered Glitter Self Adhesive Wax Seals were created for my future holiday and birthday stationary projects!
While any wax seal makes for a classy finishing touch to wedding stationary or party paperie, there is something even more magical in a marbled seal! I love being able to mix hues in my seals and with my next event featuring all sorts of projects from this newest crafting obsession, this was the perfect time for incorporating more colors and metallics to my party palette. So while I began my wax sealing projects with simple seals for adding to my invitations, the next set of seals for my party projects had to be these Marbled Self Adhesive Wax Seals!
If there’s a stationary detail I love, it has to be wax seals! Whether it's from my love of the old days where letters were sealed with them or because of all the beautiful wax seals we can create for our own invitations today, I think they always add an extra level of class and beauty to any paperie projects. In honor of these dainty details, my next party will be bedecked with all sorts of wax seal projects, all of which start with the basics, how to make Simple Self Adhesive Wax Seals for my invitations and party paperie!
WAX SEAL PROJECTS
I love magnets as an inexpensive and useful party favor, but even more for how many creative options I’ve found in the past. From wooden magnets to photos to wine corks or bottle caps, there’s so many creative ways to design them and make them unique to your own event! When I was experimenting with ways to use sealing wax in my party projects for my Vintage Victorian Cocktail Party, as soon as I thought of making these Wax Seal Magnet Favors, I knew that they were going to be my favorite form of magnet yet!
If there’s a classy stationery detail I’ve been obsessed with lately, it has to be wax seals! So when I wanted to give my guests a take home gift for my last party in gable boxes, I knew just how I wanted to decorate them: some soft chiffon ribbon and some of my favorite marbled beauties for these Wax Seal Gable Gift Boxes.
Be it a party or a date night at home, there’s nothing like a little romantic candle light to set the mood, and one of my favorite styles I’ve seen is when tapered candles are used to create candlescapes with wine bottles! Unfortunately for me, real candles are a little too much of a fire hazard for our home’s parties at present, but it was the perfect opportunity to create reusable candle holders from my existing wine bottles, with a little help from my favorite stationery sealing wax.
While I was creating all sorts of mismatched floral stationery and details for my latest party, I just had to share one of my favorites before the festivities started, featuring some of my own favorite things; florals and beautiful wax stamps! With my next party full of fun and games, my first project featuring all the wax seals I’ve made so far are kicking off with these Personalized Wax Stamp Floral Patterned Playing Cards.
STATIONERY & PAPERIE PROJECTS
If there’s something I miss about the Valentine’s Days of childhood, its all the fun paper cards you’d get in a decorated shoebox, plus all the candy of course! So when I was inviting some of my favorite friends to my birthday this year, I used it as a reason to revive the old DIY Valentines vibe by making them all Galentine’s Day Cards, each themed after characters in one of my favorite animes, Sailor Moon!
To properly announce any ball, you need an impressive invitation! So when I was planning my Victorian themed Karaoke & Cards Cocktail Party, I knew that the invitation to announce it would need to be pretty, informative, and most of all, floral! After a few hours of design, printing, cutting, and assembling, these mismatched floral Vintage Victorian Party Invitations were ready to send out to all my favorite people!
For my Vintage Victorian Karaoke & Cards Cocktail Party, mismatched florals were the name of the game! So when I found a bunch of beautiful floral scrapbook paper it became the perfect time to start making more stationery details and create a staple for my future paperie projects. After creating custom Floral Patterned Playing Cards with part of my paper, I picked my favorite prints to turn into a personalized patterned detail on my guests invitations, Patterned Paper Invitation Mat and Envelope Liners.
